If you follow me on Instagram (which you should!!…please !!) you were able to follow me around my journey to Hamburg, Germany. One thing was probably hard to overlook: that I fell completely in love with this wonderful city.
I didn’t know that I could love a place so much but Hamburg really has a spirit that got me right away!
We stayed at a lovely Hotel called “Wedina”. It’s located in the neighborhood of “St.Georg” and the rooms are spread over a few smaller houses. The rooms are super lovely and it’s near the central station and has a bus station just around the corner which makes it super easy to get around!
On our first day we strolled around the streets and did a bit of shopping here and there.
One of the bigger shopping streets is near the central station and is called “Mönkebergstraße” or just “Mö”. We also had a look at the town hall and let me tell you that this is the prettiest building I’ve seen in a long time!
Just across the street you’ll find the “Café Paris” which is lovely and they have really good macarons – pay them a visit next time your in Hamburg!
Our next stop was the “Alsterhaus” – a luxury shopping mall. As those things are just too expensive to buy just for fun we just looked around. There are all the labels and the clothes are well chosen. You should check that out as well (if you promise me to not start crying because of the prices…). Near the town hall there’s also the “Alsterpassage” wich is a lovely little passage with some shops. The ceilings are beautifully decorated and painted so thats defintely a spot to shoot some insta-worthy pictures!
Aren’t those teddy bears at Godiva’s cute?
Anyway: Next on our list was – of course – the “Speicherstadt”. I’ve heard only magical things about it and it was just so beautiful! I highly recommend going there. No matter the weather! It’s beautiful even if it’s raining!
ISN’T THAT AMAZING!? I fell completely in love with this neighborhood!
Well…to be honest i’m in love with the whole, entire city but I guess I’ve wrote that a million times before in this post…!
On our last day we did some cultural stuff and went to see the “Kunsthalle” which has a large collection of art works from the past and also the present! So if you’re interested in art – try it out! Besides that Hamburg has a lot of other galeries and art collections so it won’t be boring!
Unfortunately we didn’t get to see more because we had other reasons to go to Hamburg in the first place! But I’ll sure come back as soon as possible !
So I hope you liked this post!
Loved to get some feedback!
